If your skin is normal, then you may have less skin related problems and maintain a good skin. Maintaining normal skin often involves following a normal skin care routine, which may include gentle cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection.
Dry skin type
Dry skin may have some difficulty in maintaining hydration and moisture. The epidermis, or top layer of skin, is designed to hold water to protect and hydrate your skin. If your skin is dry, this skin barrier loses moisture very quickly.
Due to which there is lack of hydration and moisture in the skin. People with dry skin experience rough, flaky, or itchy skin. Skin problems like rosacea, eczema and psoriasis also occur due to dry skin.
Oily skin type
Oily skin is characterized by excessive production of sebum, a natural oil produced by sebaceous glands in the pores. This extra oil can make the skin appear shiny or greasy. People with oily skin are more likely to develop acne as excess sebum can clog pores, leading to the formation of pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
Combination skin type
In combination skin, there is both oil and dryness on the face. In this type of skin, certain areas of the skin, often the forehead, nose and chin (called the T-zone), produce excess sebum and appear shiny or oily. Meanwhile, other areas, especially the cheeks, may lack moisture and feel dry, rough or even flaky.
How to do skin care according to skin type
1 Skin care for normal skin
• Wash your face with a mild cleanser and lukewarm water.
• Using moisturizer to hydrate the skin.
• Apply sunscreen with good SPF every morning.
2 Skin care for dry skin
• Wash your face with a moisturizing cleanser or oil-based cleanser.
• Use thick cream or oil-based moisturizers with ingredients like ceramides and glycerin to support the skin barrier and lock in moisture.
• You have to use a sunscreen with a good SPF. You can also use moisturizing sunscreen
3 Skin care for oily skin
• Cleanse your face with a gentle, oil-free cleanser.
• Use a toner with astringent ingredients like salicylic acid or witch hazel that reduces excess oil.
• Using retinol at night to help with cell turnover and reduce breakouts.
• Apply oil-free moisturizers or light gel moisturizers with hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin without clogging pores.
